Gontor 5 for Girls
Kandangan, Pare, Kediri, East Java
On its 4th age, the institution, inhabited by 529 students and 65 teahers, directed byMr. H. Agus Mulyana, S.Ag., always developes and keeps its existence. The institution had graduated its prime alumni last year, it’s hoped to be the benchmark to improve the quality of the forthcoming students in academic sector and non-academic as well.
Activities of ITTC
Learning and Teaching Process
ITTC supported by various programs, included: signing and checking intensively the teachers’ teaching preparation, evaluating learning and teaching (Naqd Tadris), guided study at night, and preparing master teachers on certain lessons, then learning process runs as good as possible. The subjects included Arabic Lessons on: Muthala’ah, Insya’, Ushul Fiqh, Balaghah, Tafsir, Nahwu, dan Sharf.
Prime KMI (ITTC)
The school held competition on Prime KMI Program on November 26, 2010, in Islamic studies and language skills. The winners were: class one (1B as the winner), class two (2B), class three (3F), class four (4B), and class five (5B). Competition on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology on December 3, 2010, the winners were classes 2B, 3D, 3 Intensive B, 4B, and class 5C.
Direction on How to Utilize the Dictonary, “Munjid” and ‘Mu’jam Mufahras”
This program is for class five students, held on Muharram 19, 1432/December 25, 2010 supervised by Al-Ustadz H. Farid Sulistyo, Lc. The examination on utilizing “Munjid” and “Mu’jam Mufahras”, comes after the above program.
Guidance and Counseling Department
Training on Organization and Imamah Examination
This program is for the managers of new hostels held on Dzulqo’dah 2-4, 1431/October 10-12, 2010, directed by experienced senior teachers. Whereas imamah exam for students of class 5 was undertaken by all teachers who examine them on the following subjects: prayers, recitation of prayer, and fluency.
The Introductory Week (Khutbatu-l-’Arsy)
The program started on November 10, 2010/Dzulhijjah 4, 1431, participated by all teachers and students. In this occasion, the Headmaster K.H. Hasan Abdullah Sahal addressed his speech and continued by Al-Ustadz H. Agus Mulyana, S.Ag.
Idhul Adha and All Stars Show
In 1431 Idul Adha prayer performed at Santiniketan Square, Al-Ustadz H. Agus Mulyana, S.Ag as khatib and Al-Ustadz Kholid Karomi, M.Fil.I. as the imam of prayer. After Idul Adha prayer the programs are: slaughtering the animals (26 sheeps and 7 cows) as the sacrifice of teachers and students and Idul Adha All Stars Show.
Vocal Group Competition among the Hostels
In order to enhance the sense of brotherhood among the dormitories, the institution held vocal group competition on October 15, 2010/Dzulhijjah 7, 1431. This program was carried by class 6 students. The following winners are: Syanggit A (1st winner), Syanggit B (2nd winner), Al-Azhar A (3rd winner).
Folksong and Poetry Reading
In order to cultivate the atmosphere of competition, it was held Folksong and Poetry Reading among hostels on October 10, 2010/Dzulqo’dah 2, 1431, and the winners are: Al-Azhar A (1st winner), Al-Azhar B (2nd winner), and Syanggit A (3rd winner). While the winners of poetry reading are: Imroatus Shalehah (4B), Zaffa Yurihana (3D), and Nur Indah (3 Intensive B).
National Mock-up and Language Demonstration
The competition on Mock-up design held on Dzulqo’dah 20, 1431/October 28, 2010 among consulates. The winners of this program were West Java consulate (1st winner), East Indonesia (2nd winner), and East Java (3rd winner). While language demonstration won by Anindia Ziskia Ulfa (East Indonesia) as the 1st winner, Citra Adeline (West Java) as the 2nd winner, and Rahma Madya (East Java) as the 3rd winner.
Tastes Among Homeland and Designing Wedding Room
In order to celebrate Khutbatu-l-’Arsy, the school held the cooking competition and designing wedding room among the consulates on October 30, 2010/Dzulqo’dah 22, 1431. As the juries were the wives of senior teachers and all teacher supervisors of consulates. East Java consulate, Middle Java, and Eastern Indonesia consulate, won the prize respectively.
The Art Show
Students of class 5 and 6 performed arts show for the second time this year as the medium of expression of their art. The shows held on November 14, 2011/Dzulhijjah 8, 1431, included: dance combination, drama, poetry reading, pantomime, fashion show, pop singer, hadrah, nasyid, folk dance, and masquerade.
Seminar on Hepatitis
Gontor 5 for Girls held seminar on hepatitis on December 18, 2010, the keynote speaker is dr. Nurul Eka Wadhani elaborated about hepatitis and the ways to prevent it.
Scout Activities
The Scout Basic Leader Training
The first basic leader training for scout held at Gontor 5 for Girls participated by 121 persons on October 25-November 3, 2010, at the campsite of the boarding school instructed directly by the head of regency scout board (Ka Kwarcab) Kediri.
Contingent of Camping Competition for Girls and Rover Scouts
In order to tighten the brotherhood among the affiliated Gontor and alumni boarding school, Gontor 5 for Girls sent the Sakura Contingent to the camping competition at Gontor 3 for Girls. The contingent consisted of 10 members of rover scout and 10 members of girl scout.
The First ASEAN Jamboree
The school participated the ASEAN Jamboree in Singapore on November 4-10, 2010. The contingents consisted of 10 members, they were Dahniar Rachmi (5D), Aja Farijah (5D), Nussi Anassani (4B), Putri Aisyah (4B), Maryam Permatasari (4B), Kamila Adanani (4C), Dyan Widya (4D), Rista Umami (4D), and 2 supervisors (Miss Vera Baroroh and Miss Barid Siska Ningtyas Prabasari).

The Visit of Subang Boarding School
On January 5, 2011, Darussalam Subang Boarding School visited Gontor 5 for Girls for educational exchange program, in this occasion held friendly competition on sports such as basket ball, volley ball, and badminton.
